Privacy statement

What we store

Lions Club Raalte stores data about four groups of people: newsletter subscribers, people who send a message through Join in, people who place an order for a campaign such as the wine campaign, and club members.

For a newsletter sign-up we store the email address, the language choice, and the moment of sign-up.

For a message through Join in we store name, email address, phone number (if you enter one), and the message itself.

For an order we store name, email address, and the products ordered.

For a sign-up to an evening, such as the wine tasting evening, we store name, email address, club or organisation, the number of people, and your remarks.

For members we store name and initials, the name of the partner, the home address, the phone number, the mobile number, the email address, the occupation, and the committee someone is active in.

That member list is only in the members area. You see it only once you are signed in as a member.

Why we store it

We use this data to send the newsletter, answer questions, handle orders, and run the club. We never use your data for anything else and never sell it to third parties.

We use the data from a sign-up only to organise the evening and to email you about your sign-up.

How long we store it

A message through Join in is kept for up to 12 months after it is closed.

A newsletter sign-up that is not confirmed within 30 days is deleted.

If you unsubscribe from the newsletter, we delete your email address 12 months later.

Order data is kept for 7 years, as Dutch tax law requires.

Data for members who are no longer active is deleted 12 months after their last day.

A sign-up to an evening is deleted 3 months after that evening. If you ticked the newsletter box when signing up, the newsletter rules above apply to your email address from that moment on.

What we do not store

We do not store IP addresses, not even when you sign up for the newsletter or fill in a form.

Cookies

This site uses only essential cookies: one cookie remembers your language choice, and on the members area (/leden) a cookie from Clerk keeps you signed in. Because we use no other cookies, no cookie banner is needed.

Want to know what data we hold about you, or want it deleted? Email us. We reply within a week.
